Time to Vote for Maxthon again!

Last year, fans of Maxthon–like yourself — laid waste to the competition by getting one-fourth of all the 2 million votes cast in the Webware 100 awards, making Max the top winner! This year you did it again, making Maxthon the top browser and one of the top three vote-getters in any category of the Webware 2009 awares.  Now you’ve got another chance to tell the world that the best browser is Maxthon–this time in the People’s Choice Awards!

But there’s not much time. Voting for the People’s Choice closes June 15. So vote now! Now. Really.

  Just click on the graphic above  that says, “Cast Your Vote” — or you can click here. Either way takes you to the People’s Choice registration site. There you fill out a short form to register you before you can vote. A few minutes later you’ll receive a password and link that get you into the organization’s digital voting booth, where you can fill a form to vote for Maxthon and six other of your favorite shareware programs.  (You don’t have to vote for another six. So don’t feel pressured.)

There are no exact rules on what needs to be filled in. In our case, simply “Maxthon” should be enough. But the site does not recognize Chinese. Please use English. You to not have to vote for other software in the remaining fields.

Remember, voting ends on June 15. Please don’t put this off.

Registered users can now check out your online favorites via Maxthon’s newly launched favorites website at http://fav.maxthon.cn/ . 

 Currently, the Maxthon online favorites website only allows users to check your online favorites without actually having the ability to change them. Users that wish to edit your favorites should use the Maxthon Browser => Manage Favorites.

In the final voting of the U.S. TV show American Idol, 100 million people cast their votes for their favorite performer. Congratulations, American Idol! That’s half as many people as have downloaded Maxthon just from Maxthon’s official site.

Don’t just surf the Web. Seize it!

     Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 2 tests ended last month with thousands of users participating and contributing some very valuable suggestions and feedback. Now we are ready to test Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 3.
    Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 3 has fixed more than 50 bugs found in Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 2 and added some features to make it more stable than the previous version.
    Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 3 will be distributed to users only through the Maxthon Passport site and via e-mail invitations.  There is no other official means of distributing Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 3 to users.  Maxthon registered users who want to participate, can download Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 3 from the Maxthon Passport site or click here http://dl.maxthon.cn/mx3/mx3.0.0.112.exe .  Users who received an invitation for Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 2 will find a link to Maxthon 3.0 Alpha 3 in your e-mail inbox.
    As mentioned previously, Maxthon 3.0 is not as complete as Maxthon 2.x.  It only has the most basic features and may not meet your needs for daily use.  You may find it buggy and should not be used for critical tasks.  But, there are still many Maxthon fans who are willing to help us test Maxthon 3.0 and that’s a great way to collect feedback and make improvements.  For this evaluation, we are inviting users who we feel might be willing to evaluate Maxthon 3.0 Dual Mode technology in it’s early stages of development.
